Notice Regarding the Privacy of Your Financial Information  

Woodford State Bank knows that your privacy is important and recognizes its obligation to keep information about you confidential. We value the trust you place in us by banking with Woodford State Bank and consider our protection of your information to be an important part of our relationship with you.

This notice will advise you of the types of Nonpublic Personal Information we collect, how we use it, and what we do to protect your privacy.

In the normal course of business, the Bank collects different kinds of information as part of maintaining, servicing and improving the opportunities, products and services that are available to our customers. The information falls into the following categories:

  • Information you provide to us in applications and other forms, such as your name, address, employment history, income and assets;
  • Information about transactions between you and the Bank, our affiliates, or other such as account balances, payment history, and credit card usage;
  • Information about transactions between you and a third party, such as mortgage bankers, securities brokers, and insurance agents;
  • Information from a consumer report, such as your credit history and credit worthiness with nonaffiliated third parties.

Information about customers and their accounts is private. The bank does not reveal any specific information about customers, former customers, or their accounts to unaffiliated third parties with the following exceptions:

  • The information is needed to help complete a customer-initiated transaction.
  • The customer requests that we share the information.
  • The information is required for legitimate bank use, in accordance with applicable law and banking practices. This includes information provided to attorneys, collection agencies, and credit reporting agencies for the purpose of collecting debt, verifying customer’s existence, and verifying a customer’s account(s) condition.
  • The information is required by or allowed by law (for example, a subpoena or court order to produce records regarding the customer’s account relationship with the bank). In such instances, information provided is limited to that required by the specific law.
  • The information is required by a bank auditor or examiner for the purpose of completing an official audit or regulatory examination of the bank.

The Bank does not sell its customer list. If, in the future, the Bank decides there is a value to customers in sharing information with an unrelated third party (for the purpose of marketing a product or service), the customer will be informed in advance of the Bank’s decision and given the opportunity to decline (“opt out”). You will have an opportunity to “opt out” of the disclosure when we notify you of any such disclosure plan. The Bank has some relationships with third party vendors to help provide customers with the broadest possible range of financial services. If personally identifiable customer information is provided to any third party vendors, the Bank will insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that keep such information confidential. Prior to establishing any new third party vendor relationships, we will require that the vendor comply with a code of privacy principles.

In order to keep your information confidential, we restrict access to the information to those of our employees who need to know that information to perform their jobs. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your Nonpublic Personal Information. On an annual basis, employees are required to certify that they understand and follow the Bank’s customer privacy policy. The employees are subject to disciplinary action if they fail to do so.

We do not share your Nonpublic Personal Information about you, unless authorized by you or allowed by law. This Privacy Notice is given to you for your information only. You do not need to call or take any action. You will be notified if our privacy policy changes.
